September 7th 2008 the Federal National Mortgage Association, â€Å"Fannie Mae† and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, â€Å"Freddie Mac† are acquired by the United States Federal Housing Finance Agency. September 14th 2008, Merrill Lynch is acquired by Bank of America. September 16th 2008, American International Group is acquired by the United States Federal Government. September 17th 2008, Lehman Brothers is acquired by Barclays. September 26th 2008, Washington Mutual is acquired by JP Morgan Chase. In a period of six months, seven of the most dominant financial institutions in the country crashed. Seven Goliaths were downed by stone shots right to the sweet spot but there were no Davids in this story, these were all self-inflicted wounds. Deep wounds that affected the nation as a whole, wounds that cut so deep that they crushed the American Dream for some with each passing day. In this essay I aim to address the decisions that led to the demise of these behemoths and the worst economic downturn since the infamous Great Depression of the early 20th century. Carpe Diem in Christopher Marlowe´s The Passionate...

Christopher Marlowe’s â€Å"The Passionate Shepherd to His Love† and Robert Herrick’s â€Å"To the Virgins, Make Much of Time† share the same common theme of Carpe Diem. They also have many differences such as the tone, and the type of poem. Marlowe’s is more of a romantic poem, a Shepherd expressing his love to a woman. Herrick’s is more of a preachy poem, the poet is telling these young virgins that they need to hurry up and get married because they do not have much time. Both Marlowe’s â€Å"The Passionate Shepherd to His Love† and Herrick’s â€Å"To the Virgins, Make Much of Time† Share the same common theme; Carpe Diem. Carpe Diem means seize the day. He is telling these young unmarried women to hurry up and get married, and stop wasting time. â€Å"Gather ye rose-buds while ye may: Old Time is still a-flying; And this same flower that smiles to-day, To-morrow will be dying† (Herrick) The Rhyme Scheme for â€Å"To the Virgins, Make Much of Time† is the first and third of each stanza rhymes while the second and the fourth line rhyme. â€Å"The glorious lamp of heaven, the Sun, The higher hes a-getting, the sooner will his race be run, and nearer hes to setting† (Herrick) In Conclusion â€Å"The Passionate Shepherd to His Love† and â€Å"To the Virgins, Make Much of Time† is similar in theme. The theme for both stories was Carpe Diem. Even though the Theme was similar, the difference in each poem was the Tone, Rhyme Scheme and the type of poem. Antoni Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia Free Essays

Do men and women view artistic pieces differently? When we consider numerous articles surrounding Antoni Gaudi’s architectural wonder Sagrada Familia, is there a difference between the way men and women view this piece of history. In the articles we are to analyze, we find that women are more subjectively critical than men who are somewhat more objective in the perceptions. In a architectural piece, the standpoints are unavoidable because they are readily visible to the public regardless of whether or not you want to see it. Furthermore, she insists that the building ‘symbolizes’ the city of Barcelona in a way that few other buildings do (Hornblower, 1991). Hornblower is complimentary of the piece of architecture that at times has been seen as gauche and over-the-top, she explains that very style of the building is almost a mockery of modern architecture (Hornblower, 1991). Although this in itself is not complimentary of the presence it holds in Catalina, but the way Hornblower has written it, makes it seem awesome in its own way. She does, however make it known that the fact that the Sagrada Familia was never completed poses a problem for many critics. The problem it appears, according to Hornblower is: who will be seen as fit to complete the work considering the immense esteem in which Gaudi was held? (Hornblower, 1991). The article was written prior to the 1992 Olympic Games and dissention was caused surrounding the people chosen to complete the piece. Hornblower writes about the difference between art nouveau and the man Suribachs who was chosen to complete the building (Hornblower, 1991). She writes factually about the re-evaluation of Gaudi’s work and the subsequent reopening of the Sagrada Familia as a completed work. She is completely unbiased and writes objectively although at times slightly on the complimentary side: â€Å"Part of the scaffolding has been removed, revealing the â€Å"Gaudian† shape of the temple’s central nave as seen from the floor. (Fontova, 2000). From the other hand, male American writer for the New York Times also describes the Sagrada Familia in a complimentary fashion. Edward Schumacher writes for the New York Times Special on 1 January 1991 â€Å"Gaudi’s Church Still Divides Barcelona†. Similar to Hornblower’s article, Schumacher also explores the conflict that surrounds the famous building. Schumacher, while complimentary, he does draw attention to the aspect of incongruity that the building holds, that is, its ‘exaggerated’ appearance (Schumacher, 1991). In this case Schumacher uses the word ‘exaggerated’ with the word ‘glorious’ in the phrase â€Å"The Sagrada Familia (Holy Family), a soaring, gloriously exaggerated Art Nouveau church that is taller than St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome, was only a quarter done when Gaudi was killed by a streetcar in 1926. †(Schumacher, 1991). Schumacher therefore obviously looks fondly upon the architectural piece. Schumacher writes in the sense that the Familia Sagrada is a challenge to the old norms expected in fine art architecture. He believes, or writes at least that Gaudi challenged the ‘tired revival styles’ and formed his own ‘eclectic’ approach to building (Schumacher, 1991). He calls Gaudi a ‘visionary’ and goes into quite a lot of depth surrounding architectural terminology. He speaks about angularity, architraves, columns and vaults, meaning that to some extent he is learned in the field of architecture (Schumacher, 1991). Schumacher also goes into detail about the history of the Sagrada Familia, stating that Gaudi had seen the work as a culmination of his life’s work (Shumacher). He also explains the controversy surrounding the commission and building of the Sagrada Familia especially in terms of its artistic revival (Schumacher, 1991). Hattie Hartmann is a female writer for the New York Times and wrote â€Å"Barcelona Celebrates its own Architectural Visionary† dated 19 August 2002. She writes, in contrast to our first female writer in a very factual manner. She does not write much about how she feels about the piece but relates the facts and history surrounding the building. She acts as a sounding-board for what others think. The proposed route of the Madrid-Barcelona high-speed train passes near the Sagrada Familia site, and some say that offers an ideal opportunity to take another look at the current plans for the cathedral in its urban context before it is too late. †(Hartmann, 2002). This example shows the willingness of Hartmann to allow other opinions is strongly objective. Her choice of subject, however, also reveals the need to question what others believe and also in a way to stand up against the changes that might detract from the beauty and stature of the building. She writes about Gaudi’s popularity, his following and his status but refrains form using her own opinion of him and uses no emotive words regarding to herself in this situation (Hartmann, 2002). The differences between male and female discourse in terms of Gaudi’s work do not display any particular traits with regards to the way in which it is viewed form on gender to the other. One female writer (Hornblower) writes subjectively with many emotive words used to fondly describe the Sagrada Familia while the male writer, Schumacher does the same. The writer from Spain who obviously is familiar with the work is more factual and intent on creating a news-flash rather than advertising the piece. Fontova does not speak badly of the piece but refrains from making a value judgment on the building. On the one hand we have an American woman gushing Gaudi’s praise and on the other hand we see a local Catalan woman writing about the building as if it were part of her daily life. Schumacher does use far more technical terms in his description of the building while Hartmann and Hornblower both write with little weight placed on the technical value of the architecture. Fontova probably has more access to information surrounding the building works and is therefore more attentive to the technicalities. In the case of Sagrada Familia we see that the only real difference in perception of the piece is that the male writer appears to see the technical value of the building. The Sagrada Familia itself is a profoundly ostentatious and decorative building with an almost Gothic facade. His work pushed many boundaries in terms of breaking with norms and created a thoroughly art nouveau impression of the original religious relic that is the form of a cathedral. Comparable to Michaelangelo’s Sistine Chapel we see a modernised version of an old religious ideal. The Sagrada Familia has different meaning for different people and this is essentially the crux of the matter. For the Catalan female writer, Sagrada Familia is a part of her daily life, something she sees almost daily. It is also part of the Barcelonian heritage which the American writers, both male and female do not see. It is recognised by them but not necessarily seen in the same light. The male alternative to the praise given Gaudi’d works, is seen more from a technical point of view but is still strongly emotive. The female American writer was obviously in praise of Gaudi’s work more in terms of its aesthetic value than for its technical parts. There is therefore a difference between the way a local sees the building and a foreigner. There is also a difference in the purposes of the writing: Hartmann was more documentary about the piece and did not place as much importance on her own opinion as she did on the facts. The meaning behind the writing was predominantly in terms of the controversy the alterations to the building has caused. In some countries such as Indonesia, they are treated unfair, unfriendly, and underestimated. It becomes people’s stereotype that men are better than women. In Indonesia, women tend to be a housewife instead of working in a busy workplace. Working in business area is such men’s job, they tend to be the one who earn money, whereas women should stay at home and do the housework. The mindset of discriminating other sex is has to be stopped and people have to build up a new mindset that men and women are the same. The main content in this report is about the side effect of gender discrimination. 2. 0 Introduction â€Å"Sex discrimination is any practice or policy that results in differential treatment of an individual because of his or her sex. † (Bails, 1994). In this case, discriminating women has been practiced since kingdom era. The history of Indonesia brought the Indonesian people’s mindset for discriminating women. When Indonesia was still a country with kingdom, women will never be equal to men. Which means that women level is not the same as men. When Indonesia was under Dutch colonies’ control for 350 years, there was no school for women (Beck, 2007). They were not allowed to get any kind of formal education. They had been taught the Indonesian ladies to do the house work and taking care of the guy since they were child. The mindset of putting women’s level below men has become the major factor for this problem. These days, Indonesian women are starting to replaced men’s job. Indonesian women are allowed to get good education like what men do. The Indonesian government has set a policy for the entire resident to have a minimum of 9 years education (Indonesia. go. id, 2013). This makes their nature ability emanate. However, even though discrimination against women has been diminished, it is still rampant in the workplace. Fair Employment Council of Greater Washington (1992, cited in Bails, 1994) stated that â€Å"Sexual Harassment is not always an expression of sexuality or sexual desire, but an inappropriate use of power† People’s mindset of discriminating women is still on going. â€Å"While educated Indonesian women have access to a wide variety of career choices, they also face serious obstacles to upward mobility† (Crockett, 1993, p. 19). The Dutch colonies make it seems so difficult to change the thought of treating women unequally. 3. 0 CONTENT 3. 1Type of Gender Discrimination There are several types of gender discrimination. The first type of it is direct discrimination. It is a an act of treating someone less favorably because their actual sex. Second, indirect discrimination is also the other type of discrimination. This kind of discrimination is quite similar to the first one. The different because of there is a policy in the workplace for not discriminating or have to respect other workers. For example, there is a requirement for the job seekers to have a six feet tall body. This makes fewer women to be accepted because women tend to be shorter than men. They are also discriminated because of their physical appearance or clothing. The employer might prefer to hire women with an attractive physical appearance to the other candidates. It is believed that the attractive ones are more likely to bring more sales. In the other hand, it makes it harder for the women who are not as attractive ones to be accepted, even though they have better ability (Catalyst. org, 2013). Another type is sexual harassment. This type of discrimination is the most common one that women faced in the workplace. â€Å"Sexual harassment is when unwanted conduct related to sex has the purpose or effect of violating an individuals dignity or creating an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment for that individual† (Acas.org. uk, 2013). Finally, women are discriminated because they can be pregnant. This is also become the main reason of the employer for not accepting women in the workplace. it simply because if the women get pregnant they should take at least 12 days holiday, and it is not what the employer want. 3. 2 Effect of Gender Discrimination Gender discrimination in the workplace brings bad impacts to the employee psychology. The first impact can be seen from the employee’s decreasing productivity. Discriminating employee especially women in the workplace will only make them working not in a maximum productivity. Based on United Nations Entity for Gender Equity and the Empowerment of Women (2011) that when an employee is discriminated against, they will feel helpless and anxiety, and also a sudden feeling of lack interest on the job responsibilities. The other impact is financial for the business. If an employee quits to escape the discrimination, the employer must spend more money to make a replacement. Finally, there is also physical effect that the employee will face. Discrimination in the workplace will cause the employee to feel nervous and stress to appear in the workplace (Fernandez, 2011). These impacts are some example that discrimination against women in the workplace has no advantage, though it leads to some negative impacts towards the employee and the business it self. 3. 3 Ways to Stop Discrimination Against Women Victorian Equal Opportunity Human Rights Commission (2013) stated that there are several ways to stop gender discrimination in the workplace that already applied. First, giving zero tolerance for the discriminator. Secondly, make a baseline workplace standard for all employees. Giving high standard requirements will also lead a peaceful situation in the workplace. Finally, the employees personal thinking is have to be changed, and it all starts from them selves. 4. 0 Conclusion People’s mindset of discriminating other gender is has to be stopped. There is no benefit of judging others from personal perspective. Discrimination against women has been practiced since kingdom era in Indonesia. Followed by the Dutch colonies that were giving thought to the Indonesian to discriminate women. And as the time pass by, women level is become more equal to men’s. However, the mindset cannot be cleanly removed. Discriminating women is still rampant in the work place. There are several impacts of it. It can decreases employees productivity, it is also affecting employees’ physics, and finally, it is also affecting the business financial. All in all, the thought of underestimating women in the workplace is has to be stopped.

And the most popular of all is the is still the Afternoon Tea- only for  £ 14.95. Sample menus: Appendix2 The key of cooking four star dishes is not only the high qualified chefs but the work environment! Careys Manor`s kitchens are divided into different sections – hot meal section, cold dishes (starters, sandwiches), vegetarian dishes and pastry (where the desserts are prepared). This is one successful organised system where everyone knows what he/she has to do and if there is a problem the manager will know who is to blame, as well. 2.2 ARAMARK: To be the world leader in Contract Catering Industry is a great challenge and responsibility – you should be perfect in every way- food must be qualitative, service- outstanding and last but not at least- prices should be attractive. Being stressed out for most of the time at work consumers are hard to please, they have high expectations and really do not like spending money. One of the ways AM uses to entice more clients is by entertaining them. What the company does is organising theme weeks. For instance the company have made â€Å"British Chef Meal Week†- each day the clients were served different chef`s meal and yes both parties were satisfied- the customers got their diversity and the company- its profit. While picking up information about this report I found out that most of the prices for food and beverage vary between  £1 and  £5. Great value for great taste. 3. Investigate and compare the design of the menu. 3.1 Careys Manor SenSpa New Forest: Careys Manor SenSpa restaurants have different designed menus but they all have something in common- fresh, organic food. Probably 90% of the products they use are from local suppliers and the other 10% from high quality European suppliers. Chefs use as much organic food as they can. If being a regular visitor to even one of the restaurants you will realize that dishes are being changed through the year and it is so because of the seasonal products being used. For instance: The Manor Restaurant- â€Å"All main courses are served with vegetables that are appropriate to each dish. We source only quality products which are predominantly English and, as far as possible, local, free-range and organic.†; Le Blaireau Restaurant- â€Å"This jewel in the forest offers a wide range of dishes from French classics to nouvelle cuisine; all based on organic and free-range products. The company tends to offer its consumers fresh and organic food as Careys Manor SenSpa restaurants do. But there is a major difference how they are supplied- by centralised purchasing. There is one more difference with the food being offered- it is not 100% freshly cooked, AM has provided more than 150 healthier beverage and snack options in vending machines (as I mentioned earlier). All the dishes offered had been chosen by their healthy values. 4. The fact that the man â€Å"had to ask twice† before the woman could interpret his gesture of love, suggests that the new environment requires a new type of body language, and a more subtle way of initiating sex. In fact as the poem progresses, the underwater location provides a whole new set of images and connotations. It is very noticeable that the the male partner is described with in terms of an octopus, sand, sea, kelp, shells etc. His hands are described as being â€Å"like tawny starfish†. These are not powerful images. The woman seems to be a part of the whole ocean, while the man is little more than a collection of timid creatures who want to be near her. It is clear that the woman feels at home in the underwater world, and the only disturbing moment in the scene occurs in the lines â€Å"drawing her close as a pirate vessel to let her board: who was this she loved?† (AFPP, lines 47-50). Factors explaining group behavior includes internal and external factors, group structure, group process, group tasks and decision making group. In the last topic explained how to attempt to address the issues that related when people anticipate in group work ,the important issue that will be happen is multiracial group which discusses what the leader should be use the RAP framework which stand of recognize, anticipate and problem-solve. What has motivated you to study a master degree at Bangor? Motivation can be defined as a decision making process in which the person put some desired goals and then adopts specific behaviors to gain these goals. Also to satisfy their needs in life and happy with it. First of all I attend here to study at Bangor university to obtain several benefits, the purposes that motive me to came here representing in a lot of reason .firstly I am a banker working in bank in my country, the manager have a proposal to send some of the staff to do a master outside of my country, he has a lot of alternatives of universities abroad. He nominates many countries for example Malaysia, India and UK. He submit their proposal to the Board of Directors to a proof it, but the Board of Directors reply that is the better choice is to sent the employees to United kingdom , the universities in UK provide high standard of qualifications. They also offer more motivation to go ahead in your qualifications. And it offers more support to international students than any other country. The diversity of the UK cities which let you to meet many people from different areas that is chance to know new cultures and tradition from international student they influences me by different cha racteristics, beliefs, values and attitudes via sharing in accommodation, in classes, social activities and doing assignment in group this also have much advantages by sharing idea form multinational students. After Board of Directors agreed of the UK universities the manger transfer his proposal to the Training Department. The staff of it they ask question, how select candidates? After along meeting they decided to make course in mini-MBA and then choice best twenty and after it they sit to IELTS test. Fortunately I passed the test and I get opportunity to study a master degree at UK at Bangor University. Secondly how choice Bangor? The answer was meeting together the candidates, Training Department and H$H consultant. They did comprehensive research, gathering lots of information and began to make alternatives, some surfing internet and other make intensive communication and at the end the selection tend to Bangor University. Why? Because it have high ranking in the areas of banking and business research among the UKs universities, best educational system. They think Bangor has famous professors and lecturers especially in business collage, Bangor city is one of the most beautiful places in the UK,. On the other hand it very quiet suitable for studies. It has friendly people and lovely, cheaper stores, private rent available around the university, has many libraries and full equipped. My future plan is to improve a career in banking and finance in an internationally oriented bank. My objective is to work as a manager for one of the top investment banks in my country, or as a banking Advisor for any world banks. To gain this, I want to complete my academic knowledge and to take the Master Degree in Islamic banking and finance in Bangor University which provides me best background education to secure my future job.   Having this knowledge will allow me to better background in banking working. With changes in the world, in political, economic, and technological fields, I think that after world crisis all professional Islamic investment say Islamic finance the best ways which ably it in bank that particularly appear in by the lasted crisis in the US that any banks work in Islamic finance do not affected by it .   I am however open-minded and prepared to meet all challenges faced to me. I am trust that a Master Degree in Islamic banking and finance will brig me a c hance to build a successful career and become a good professional, contributing value to my future banks. Leaning is now recognized is a shift in behavior as outcome of experience or practice, knowledge acquisition and obtain through study like skill in some thing example books, TV, newspapers, radio and internet . Also the people process of building understanding focus on experience from different sources, also inferred form change in behavior and performance, shift in memory, and outcomes experience. The learning is not exclusive to an education system. Learning starts before long time before apparent of large number of school or institutions. It spread rapidly after school came, there are a lot of different approaches of learning not only enter educational system which discusses and explained by many interested researcher. The learning process and learning approach is differ from one person to another the idea of that notion learn as individual learners have specific approach to learns so as individuals have different preferred approach for example some individual take information through specific ways and other find it impossible by this medium because it quite difficult to take it. This lead us to the types of which learners take information such as visual or auditory learners. There a lot of theories of approach learning like behaviourism explained o n the observation and mental activities also which humans and animals similar can be learned to do specific things. Classical conditioning this theory focus on acquisition, extinction, generalisation and discrimination. Learning style is recognised as a specific method in which an individual learns, learning mode which the best manner to understand and take information, gain skills and knowledge , strategies or habit like regular reading in deliberate educational that an individual displays. Cognitive style is also recognised in a set of different approaches, as a certain approach to problem-solving, focus on ability to think and understand things, especially complicated ideas. A typical or noticeable quality of someone or something of cognitive processing which are strange to a specific people. Regular or strategies, mental behaviours, randomly applied by an individual to problem solving. The expression preferences of learning has been used to relate the situations , environmental , encompassing, emotional, sociological and physical situation, that people learner would select to adopt comfortable position. Learning styles are not permanent a particular characteristic which people will often fallow it. Individuals getting knowledge  are able to do many different styles of learning in a lot of causes. might be use more than style according to Honey and Mumford (1986) (suggest that we in need of skillful to adopt one of four different styles in so as finished any given learning job in more satisfactorily) According to Honey-Mumford Model there are four type styles, activists which individual prefer action learning rather than reading or listening . Reflectors which individuals collect more information before making decision. Theorists, which to see the relationship between observations. And pragmatists which are keen to search and find new idea and use it. ). (ALAN PREICHARD 2009 p1-44). About my self the best approach to learn my self is practice learning, for example in my studies I prefer empirical study that base on home work , show in the lap also via a lot of media like TV or games . What issues do you anticipate in the group work? Any number of individual which perceive themselves to form a group and interact with each other to achieve specific goals. According to David Buchanan and Andrzey Huczynski say (group is tow or more people in face-to-face interaction, each aware of their membership in the group, each aware of the others who belong to the group, and each aware of their positive interdependence as they strive to achieve their goals) page 286. The group includes two types of groups, formal groups and informal groups. Formal groups are formal created to achieve specific task in the organization. In formal groups, the behaviors are serving the needs of the organisation to perform specific tasks. For example the staff of business school collages an example of formal group. Informal groups are not created formally, unplanned by the organization are basis on common interest. The groups divides into, task and command groups are related to formal groups, whereas friendship and interest groups are naturally created. Group command this group is forms by the power of the leader in the organization. Task Group, this refers to individuals who work combine to execute a job task. The important issues face or encounter any body joint in work group represent in why do people joint in groups , stages of group development ,the factors inside organization and out side organization affect the group behaviour which explain why are many group performances successful and others unsuccessful?, group structure and group process ,and finally the group decision making. About my self I work in a bank and my experience six years. I jointed in many group work during working all points I mentioned above I think is important issues face any individual group members which any body anticipated occur or happen during groups work , most authors and researchers talking and discussed this issues . Why Do People Join Groups? People join in group for many reason personalities and organizational. The personality includes, security to joined in group individuals will decrease risk of appearing responsibility alone, because they afraid from threats. Status, by joining a group, members can have recognition and status. Self-esteem, in order of more confidence. Affiliation, they become more close relationship to achieve best result. People can enjoy the continuous interaction with each others. Power, There is more power in great numbers. On the other hand for organizational reason includes flatter structures, perform tasks, improve productivity and quality and more motivation in order to provide support reward sense of belonging. Stages of Group Development: Group development in common passes via five stages. According (Tuckman 1965, Tuckman Jensen 1977).Forming, this phase is featured by the group responsibilities and roles, also group purpose, goals and external relationships. Storming, this phase is featured focused in the main objective and avoid conflict. There is conflict between the leader and members group. Norming, this phase is characterized by complete relationship and best cohesiveness and the decisions making sharing among whole group. Performing, In this phase the group known what is doing and why, put the strategic into action and apply it as it planning, focus on over -achieving objectives. Adjourning, In this phase, the task has been finished or achieved the group members can go to an other new job, and be ready themselves to go their on ways. (David Buchanan and Andrzey Huczynski, page 305) Factors Explaining Group Behavior Why are many group performances successful and others unsuccessful? The solution includes many internal and external variables which influence the ability of the group member, the group size, the conflict level, the consideration of group norms, homogenous represent on routine and standard task, the level of cohesiveness. Members education such as experience and training, job design ,motivation of employees and attitudes, also diversity training , gender, and academic major, personality orientation. The individual factor must be followed first because are effect on the outcomes of group. Also the are many external factors which affect the group performance , so every work groups are influenced by conditions come from outside like overall strategy of the organisation, government regulations , structures authority, official regulations, resources or the input represent by skills, knowledge and abilities and personality , process selected by the employees, system of reward and evaluatio n the performance , the culture of the organization physical work setting, the traits of groups affect the performances of group which influence outcomes of whole group members . Group Structure and group process The group structure act as the main issues face the groups when work to gather because of the behavior of members are unclear and possible to do predict inside the group as well as the outcomes that you planed. There are many different factors which affect the group behavior. They include the leader of group like unit manager, employee charge or responsible for workers, project manager or committee president. The roles of any member, norms are necessary because they help and support group and let it go on and survival, help to predict behavior, reduce the clash between the group individuals and give individual to express the main values or attitudes of the group, status group is important to classification of group among the other, size of group which make Social loafing is that some people of the group tend to do less effort than other when they work to gather in the group, the group composition is an important factor for predicting groups behavior. Heterogeneous groups tend to perf orm better than homogeneous groups over the long run. The level of group cohesiveness is group individual attracted help others in order to motivated whole group and to stay together to achieve tasks. Group Processes is important such as ways of communications each group individual support each other to provide information and exchange information between other so as to solve problems, decision process, chair group behavior and conflict reaction. (David Buchanan and Andrzey Huczynski page 318-335) Group Decision Making Decision-making in groups or an organization is the important task made by group members in order to choose the best alternatives that doing by group member which represent the outcomes, may in all departments of the organization be able to be used. At this point, when a decision maker chooses a particular action, he does so with full background of the power and diversity of alternative opinions. He does so, however, using his own notions of the severity of the reactions and disappointments of the individuals whose own prefer- ences for some action has been shunted aside, if not ignored. This problem of how to combine the action preferences of individuals with differing values (utility functions) has been studied intensely in recent years. A basic question concerns the degree to which a group of individuals with differing utility functions can agree upon a single, group utility function. Under certain axiomatic assumptions, Arrow (1963) has shown that such agreement is impossible. Un der other assumptions, however, agreement is possible. If, for example, there is a single decision maker who wants to take every group members preferences into account, but who will make the ultimate decision himself (this is the context we are assuming throughout), then no contradictions of this type arise. During my work, I work in country have a big diversity, the population composed form different tribes and have different tune speaking and values, attitudes and ethnics so as difficult to work in group and to forming group work until arrived to decision making (outcome) . . 4-How will you attempt to address these? Whereas people joint group come from different races to interact together to doing a work or job I think some problem or causes should be occurred in all the stages of group which I explained above, from forming a group to finish the job and making decision for specific goals. So as the manger or the group leader should be aware of this important issues might be happen and failures group continues. The important issue may be happen the race because it is much apparent when group members joint for different multiracial in the group that must be forming this is called multiracial group. To mange or control multiracial group according to Davis Galinsky and schopler (1995) (urge that the leader use the RAP (recognize, anticipate and problem-solve) framework which stand of recognize, anticipate and problem-solve. Recognizing crucial ethnic , cultural and racial differences in any group work requires the manger to be both self-aware and aware of racial dynamics of the group. A manger of mu ltiracial group needs to be aware of personal values and stereotypes. Recognize racial ethic and cultural differences among the members of group. Respect the norm, cultures and customs of the population represented in the group, familiar with resources in the community that responsive to the needs of racial component of the group, be aware of various forms of institutional discrimination in the community and their impact on various populations of groups, and racial tension in the community also. Anticipating how individual members will be affected racial issues prepares the leader to respond preventively and inter-preventively when racial issues arise. The leader should anticipate potential sources of racial tension in the group when members formulate their group goals and when the leader structure group work. To anticipate tensions and help members deal effectively with them the leader should be seek to include more than one member of any given race, develop a leadership style that is culturally appropriate to the groups specific racial configuration, treat all members in respect and equality ,seek to empower members to obtain their rights particularly if they are been victimized by institutional discrimination or other forms of racism in the community , encourage development of norms in mutual respect and appreciation of diversity. The last element is solve-problem which the leader should be use solve-problem approach by the evaluation and generating alternatives, use conflict resolution approach include role reversal, empathy, inquiry, use intervention and goal that are culturally acceptable and appropriate for all members of the group and provide some rules in problem solving and conflict .( Charles Zastrow, Karen K. Kirst-Ashman 2010-2007, P359-360.) Conclusion To conclude, this essay has explained factors which motivated me to study master degree at Bangor university, focus on the reputation of it academics ,staffs, and area, also my future plan after complete my study at it. The definition of learning, approach of learning and styles of learning any my styles learning during my live. However the most important issues anticipate occur or happen in a group work as general and my experience work such as, why do people joint in groups, stages of group development, the factors inside organization and out side organization affect the group behaviour which explain why are many group performances successful and others unsuccessful?, group structure and group process, and finally the group decision making. Macbeth - Downfall Of A Hero :: essays research papers

Macbeth’s strive for power affects every aspect of his life, and this motivation eventually leads to his demise. Many different factors play a pivotal role in deciding his ill-fated future. With his wife’s cajoling, and the three witches’ foretelling of his future Macbeth, will stop at nothing to gain position as King of Scotland. The witches and their prophecies are the first major influence on Macbeth’s actions. Macbeth, Thane of Glamis is content with his position, until the three witches tell him, "hail to thee, Thane of Cawdor, thou shalt be King hereafter." (I, iii.). After hearing this, Macbeth and Banquo, his loyal friend, find out that King Duncan has named Macbeth "Thane of Cawdor." They contemplate about how the rest of the prophecy will come true. The witches also advise them that Banquo’s son would be King one day. Macbeth writes a letter to Lady Macbeth explaining what has happened. Macbeth comes to the realization that for him to in fact become King, he will have to defeat recently named heir to the throne, Malcolm, the King’s son, and also prevent Banqou’s son from gaining access to the throne. Macbeth returns home and he and his wife must play host to the King. Lady Macbeth begins to contemplate what "impedes thee from the golden round" (I, v). She desperately wants her Macbeth to be King and she calls upon the "aids of sprits"(I, v) to help her in her quest for the throne. Lady Macbeth requests that the, "sprits that tend on mortal thoughts," to unsex her, and fill her with the "direst cruelty†¦" (I, v.). The supernatural world will aid her in the hardening of her heart and make it possible for her to carry out her malicious plan. Lady Macbeth wishes to throw out her morality for the sake of gaining a title. With the help of invisible sprits, she wants to make herself able to commit a heinous act of murder to make her dreams of the royal life come true, without having reservations or remorse. She approaches Macbeth with her intent to kill King Duncan. Macbeth, although wanting the prophecy to come true, and become king, lacks the enthusiasm as his wife does, to commit the murder. Lady Macbeth urges Macbeth to act on his desires or he will think of himself as a coward. King Duncan is invited to Macbeth’s castle, and it is there that he will be killed.
