I have not every known anyone who has gone through an abortion, but I can think of the pain and trauma a woman can go through when they want to have an abortion. I personally would want her to go through with the abortion because if not the emotional impact to be forced to deliver the pregnancy to term would be catastrophic. When any corporation becomes unable to pay the debts and it is declared by law, the corporation is said to be collapsed. The collapsing of any corporation is not a random process or cannot occur at once. It is a slow and gradual process which affects the corporation. Alack of proper corporate governance, which includes accounting standard, weak internal control, proper communication of the management with the board, etc., results in collapsing of a corporation. Australia has seen many big and reputed companies being collapsed. It is clearly visible that a company having a powerful market support, clear reports of audit has collapsed suddenly, Corporate Collapse Analysed[1]. Demolition or collapsing of a company on the other hand can be found profitable in the market or economy. The collapsing of a company will reduce unnecessary exploitation of the resources available in the market which can be used by others and will reduce the competition as well. The demolition of a company is because of the wrong decision made by the board of the said company. The board of the company is solely responsible for the downfall of the company. Some of the common wrong decisions made by the board or steps taken by the board are, not calculating the expenses of the company on time and the same is being postponed for some later event (Davies, 2000). This has proved to be a major reason for the downfall which can be seen in many collapsing of the companies, since the past few decades. Other wrong decision is not to make proper tax report, not to disclose proper facts to all the persons concerned. Any changes in the business, or property or any other thing which the company t hinks to be suitable should be informed even to the public (ICSI, 2015). Proper auditing in a fiscal year is also required. Sometimes due the fault of the auditor and not disclosing it to the board also leads to the downfall(Austrailian Review, 2016). Description: Before starting the analysis, it is necessary to know the meaning of corporate governance. Basically, corporate governance is the system of rules, relationship amongst the members of the company which helps in successfully running of the company (MARTIN, 2015). Proper and impressive corporate governance can leads the company to have higher value in respect of control system, development, and proportionately working considering the risk factor in the economy. To have a strong corporate governance, there is need to have two conditions (AVC, 2012). First, the board of the company should consist of skilled and experienced members who can work independently and take decisions which will be fruitful for the company. Secondly, there should be honesty present within those because of whose work, the financial structure of the company can get affected (Adams, Hermalin, Weisbach, 208). It can be seen from the discussion made above, that the board of the company plays an important role in corporate governance, failing of which can leads to collapsing of the company. Any decision made by a director is very crucial for the proper working of the company. The director plays a very important role in the growth of goodwill and the working of the company to meet the expectations present in the economy(ASX, 2016). The director should have and maintain good relation with the other persons related to the working of the company internally as well as externally. There are certain duties of the directors, which should be performed by the directors with honesty and togetherness, some with the other person or group of persons who are related to the working of the company and some with the other members of the board or even individually. A director should act and work diligently and must be loyal to the company (Commins Meyer, 2016). The director should use their skills reasonably while discharging his duties and should give proper and continuous attention to the affairs of the company. Filing of proper reports of allotment should be looked after by the director. He should have a thorough check on the audit report made by the auditor and should look after the standard of auditing(Study Mode, 2016). The director should look after the ASX listing rules and should work accordingly. ASX has been established to understand and meet up the expectations of the stakeholders and look after the confidence of the investors. ASX in August 2002, assembled into the ASX Corporate Governance Council. The companies, according to the ASX Listing Rules 4.10.3 are asked to supply a statement exposing the limit to which the company has been following the recommendation. Recommendation mentioned here means certain guidelines which are crafted to produce results which is affective and is of better quality and honesty. Companies which have not followed the recommendation must select their recommendation and should give proper reasoning of not following the same. Annual report given by the company does not reduce the liability of the company to reveal the recommendation of the company under the ASX Listing Rule 3.1. In some of the cases, a company is required to provide proper reveal of recommendation i n a distinguished corporate governance statement incorporated in the annual report of the company. This information is required to be made in public, viz. on the website of the company (Stuart, 2014). Proper references should be mentioned in the website where the public or stakeholders can easily manage to get the information regarding the company. All this processes, should be looked after or followed by the directors properly as it is the duty of the said authority. The director of the company should keep an eye on the audit committees. Certain instructions have been provided in the SP / ASX All Ordinary Index and in the SP / ASX 300 Index(ECGI, 2016). According to the SP / ASX All Ordinary Index, the company has been asked to set out an auditing committee in the very beginning of the financial year of the company. And if the company is within the SP / ASX 300 Index, the company must follow the recommendation of the ASC Corporate Governance Council in order to form an auditing committee. The composition, responsibility and the work of the committee will be made in accordance of the said ASX Corporate Governance Council. The auditing committee should work by following the accounting standard. The work of an auditor is to make a report to the members of the company in the general meeting and state the profit and loss of the company in the financial year. He should also inform the directors about all the information which he had considered in the process of auditing. The auditor in his audit report should also enquire and report honestly to the board whether the loans and advances which has been made by the concerned company is shown as deposits, whether the personal expenses have been charged to revenue account, whether any assets of the company have been sold at a lesser price than its purchasing price and whether the transactions made by the company has been made in accordance with law. The auditors should be very cautious and careful while making an audit report, Re Kingston Cotton Mills Co[2]. The auditors should act reasonably and should be satisfied by the valuation of the asset he is making in the report. If not satisfied, he is ought to inform the fact honestly to the directors. Therefore, it is the duty of the directors to keep information about the audit report as well as working of the auditing committee, because lack in keeping proper notice may lead to collapsing of the company and the auditing committee cannot be held solely liable for the dishonest done work by them. The auditing committee is not responsible to the third parties as there is no contractual relation, Candler V Crane Christmas[3]. Conclusion: From the above discussion, it can be seen that the duty of the director can save the company from collapsing. The work of the director by way of proper scrutiny of the audit report, making of decisions which will work for the benefit of the company, using of his skill while discharging his duties will save the company from collapsing of the company. Corporate collapse mainly happens due to the lack of the proper corporate governance. The case of One-Tel can be considered in this context(Monem, 2016). The collapse of the One-Tel, which was considered to be one of the leading telecommunication companies of Australia, has faced a serious situation and gradually collapsed in the year 2001, Australian Broad Casting Corporation, 2001[4]. The reason behind the collapsing of the said company, One-Tel is the lack in corporate governance in respect of quality of the financial report and audit report, communication between the management and the board, improper internal control system. This few points regarding corporate governance can act as a chemical reaction which leads to the collapse of the company or in other words, it is the cause of the corporate collapse. When the Europeans entered America they brought over beverages that superseded the alcohol percent of any drink produced by Indians. European colonization is what introduced alcohol to the Native Americans, but mass consumption did not occur until the seventeenth century (â€Å"Stereotypes of Native Americans† par. 2). As the fur trade began gaining momentum in the seventeenth century, so did the alcohol trade. Some European traders offered alcohol during the trading process to manipulate the Native Americans (Eshkibok par. 7). Also, skins and furs where being traded for alcohol instead of necessities the Indian people needed. This occurred because the younger Native American men, who became addicted to alcohol, had control over the trade and chose the alcohol over other items. These decisions left Indian nations in states of poverty and left them in difficulty dealing with the invading Europeans (â€Å"Stereotypes of Native Americans† par. ). As more Europeans entered American, more and more Native Americans were forced into reservations. These reservations left Indians in mass poverty, cultural shock and with no hunting grounds. Reservations with these issues are breeding grounds for social problems, including alcoholism. Many assumptions have been made as to why the Indians became so addicted to alcohol. The biggest factor that causes the alcoholism is how life on the reservations is for Native Americans. As said before, poverty and cultural shock causes depression among the population of the reservation, which leads to substance abuse to cure these feelings. There are a few statistics one must consider, presented in an article by Peter Katel. In reservations nationwide, forty nine percent of the population is unemployed; that is 10 times the national average. Also, deaths from alcoholism are at least six hundred and fifty times higher than the national average. These statistics show how life on the reservation is vastly different. With such a sense of despair in the reservations, it is understandable why people turn to substances for an outlet. While most blame it on the conditions of the reservations, some blame can be put on the chemical make-up and genetics of the Native Americans themselves. Depending on race, the time it takes to metabolize alcohol differs. In the case of Native Americans, the time it takes to metabolize alcohol is lower (Ringwalt par. 3). This difference in metabolizing rates could explain why the Indians developed a habit to alcohol very quickly when first introduced to it when the colonist arrived. Many misconceptions have arrived with the issues of alcoholism in Native Americans though. Due to some reservations having high populations of alcoholics, stereotypes have evolved. Bars began displaying signs forbidding them to drink (â€Å"Stereotypes of Native Americans† par. 5). According to an article written by grad student Mike Eshkibok, the stereotype has even made its way to the big screen in movies like Flags of our Fathers and Apocalypto ; â€Å"These powerful films depict Indians in a violent or stereotypical way, suggesting that all Indians are afflicted with drug and alcohol problems† (par. ). This stereotype has gone as far as to have people believe that Indians are either wise old men, or drunks (Nerburn pg. 185). Scientific study also is affected by these stereotype and leads to biased results. Recent studies were found to have false results about the percentage of Native American alcoholics from two reservations. Even though the results of the new study found that the amount of alcoholics on the reservation were fifty percent higher than national averages, it was still considerably lower than the previous study which found up to eighty percent f the men on the reservations were alcoholics (Ham par. 2). With stereotypes becoming so inflated that it affects scientific studies, a higher concern of solving this problem must begin. Native Americans have dealt with many problems after European colonization, and one of the prevalent issues is alcoholism. With the history of alcohol being an invasive and with modern times leading to more cases of alcoholism, it is hard to say when the Native Americans will see the day when their communities are free of this trouble. Section 2: Alcoholism is an issue in many peoples lives. But for Native Americans it has become a very common issues effecting many people. Native Americans also affect more than health, issues like stereotyping and control come into play. Two authors decided to include the effects of alcohol in their works. By showing the affects of alcohol in Native Americans, people will be able to see the difficulties of the disease and try to overcome some of the problems. In the play â€Å"Ghost Dance† by Annette Arkeketa, a women named Hokti is dealing with her issues of alcoholism while she lays in a coma. You see the thoughts of both Hokti and her family sitting by her side. This issues that are brought up show how each side is affected by the disease. Hokti herself is affected by the â€Å"Alcohol Spirit† who deems her unable to live life with out alcohol, while her family is listening to her younger sister Lori state how she has changed and how dying would be best for her. The problems that are brought up show how the family is affected by the alcoholic daughter and proves that even if they are Native American, they are dealing with a huge problem. Arkeketa play is told by a man telling a story to two children. He is trying to explain why there are no more Native Americans. Alcoholism is tearing up the Native American culture and with out the strength of the Indians and the help from the out side world the Native Americans may never overcome the grasp of alcoholism. Arkeketa may be trying to create this concept in her play. Hokti is hearing the words of her sister, the out side world, and is becoming informed on how she is acting, while hearing this she is battling, and ultimate helping herself conquer alcohol. Alcohol has also affected the reputations of all Indians, not just the ones who are alcoholics. In Neither Wolf Nor Dog by Kent Nerburn, the issue of stereotyping Indians is brought up. Nerburn travels around with an Indian elder named Dan and hears his take on problems facing the Indian people. While at a bar in a local town, two drunk Native Americans walk in and make a scene. This sets Dan off on a story about how people only see Native Americans as either the wise elders or drunk slobs. Dan states â€Å" ¬Ã‚ ¬Ã‚ ¬Ã‚ ¬Ã‚ ¬Ã‚ ¬Ã‚ ¬Ã‚ ¬Ã‚ ¬Ã‚ ¬Ã‚ ¬Ã‚ ¬Ã‚ ¬Ã‚ ¬Ã‚ ¬For white people they only see two types of Indians. Drunken bums and Noble Indians†¦. When they meet one of us who‘s not drunk they have to deal with us†(185). This stereotype is very true, and has been around for a long time. Signs in bars stating â€Å"We don’t sell to Indians†, and laws being passed to make selling alcohol on reservations illegal (â€Å"Stereotypes of Native Americans† par. 7). Stereotyping begins many doubts about the Indian people, even if some chose not to drink or can tolerate themselves. Nerburn was asked by Dan to write this book in hopes of dispelling the common misconceptions about Indians and to show how exactly they have been living. Throughout the story Nerburn has had trouble figuring out how to write the story. He is told that he must not make it white or the message will not get across. Nerburn then decided to write the story as is occurs, in first person. This makes the reader as if themselves are Nerburn going through this journey. So when readers are experiencing this journey they really come to realize how the Native Americans are feeling and get a new perspective. This way of writing will help the readers dispel the stereotypes they may have had, especially on alcoholism. Seeing an Native Americans point of view on issues like this really gives the public a full view of issues like alcoholism in Native American lives. With authors like Nerburn and Arkeketa writing about the difficulties of alcoholism in Native Americans lives, people will begin to see how the Native Americans are dealing with the issue and how some are connected even though they don’t suffer from the diseases at all. When people begin to understand the problems, more effort to fix it will come up.

Vesey used this money to purchase his freedom. He used his intelligence, energy, and luck to acquire considerable wealth and influence in South Carolina. All of these factors helped lead to the largest attempted slave revolt in American history. David Robertson’s book Denmark Vesey outlines his life as a slave, to his freedom, to his execution, and the consequences of the aftermath.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  South Carolina was one of the only states in which the black slaves and abolitionists outnumbered their oppressors. Denmark Vesey’s slave revolt consisted of over nine-thousand armed slaves, free blacks, and abolitionists, that would have absolutely devastated society in South Carolina for slave owners, and could have quite possibly been a major step towards the abolishment of slavery in the United states. Robertson succeeded in describing the harsh conditions of slaves in pre-civil war Charleston, South Carolina. This book also helped me to understand the distinctions between the different groups. Many people have become semi famous from others vidding content that they uploaded or appeared in. A few semi famous people, extra ordinary personalities, that come to mind are the Double Rainbow Guy, aka Yosemitebear, Sweet Brown, and Antoine. Without â€Å"vidding† these people would not have had any fame or acknowledgement whatsoever. There is a fine line between copyright infringement and vidding. One factor that I think plays an important role in differentiating the two is if a video is modified from its original version and an artistic twist is added.Art is intellectual property, and by adding your own property to it, makes it your own. The Double Rainbow video is a great example. This video was up on the YouTube sight for quite some time before being discovered by talk show host Jimmy Kimmel who posted a tweet with the YouTube link on his Twitter account. From there the video spread like wildfire and people were interviewing the maker of the, Paul Vasquez a Yosemite Par k resident. Three days later, a well-known auto tuner made a remix video with a song out of the double rainbow video.The song was made available on ITunes and the profits are split 50/50 with Paul Vasquez, who made the original video and the remix auto tuner, known by user name schmoyoho. When the person vidding the original pays royalties or splits profits, then I think this is not copyright infringement because they are paying their dues. If a person profits from using the original version in their new formatted version, then they should have to pay the original owner a portion, it is only fair. I think this is the fine line between self-expression, freedom of speech, and copyright infringement.If you are looking to profit from the content without consent than that is unethical. However, if you are adding your own perception of a television show or video just to express your point of view then this falls under freedom of speech. With social media more popular than ever, there are millions of people copying and sharing original tweets of Facebook posts. We are absolutely unable to monitor every person’s tweets and posts. With such a broad spectrum of what falls under copyright infringement and what falls under self-expression, we as adults have to be able to use judgment based on ethical reasoning.Lawrence Kohlberg categorized different stages of moral development.
